The CB4 Lyfe story began in February ’07 when 4 young men hailed from the villages of Carrot Bay and Cappoons Bay on the north-west side of Tortola, Virgin Islands (British), formed a rap group. Today we are group of 6 young men who have been given talents to make a positive difference in the lives of our peers. We choose to rap because rap is a way of life. It’s the way we live, think and breathe. We grew up in a village where there was always singing. Our music reflects the time.

The groups’ first debut on the musical scene was for the Ms Teen East End ’07. From there we have performed for various Acts on Tortola, Virgin Gorda and our big break thus far, at the VI Teen Idol Show in St. Thomas in December ’07.

CB 4 Lyfe has already achieved public acceptance, which many has been denied and have effectively captured the hearts, minds and souls of our audience. Our first mixtape was released in March ’07 – “DA Introduction” and second mixtape in October' 07 "Aint Nuddin Personal- Just CB 4 Lyfe" a number of copies have been sold. We are currently working on mixtape 2.5 set to be availble May 16'08 and our Album for release during summer ’08.

We were the 2nd place winner with our AIDS song for the AIDS Competition in December ’07; the 3rd place winner with our Respect song for the Respect Competition in February ’08 and the big winners at the ZROD 103.7 FM Top 7 @ 7 Award Show in March ’08 where we received awards for best hype song, best love song and for our # 1 song “Super Star”. Our song Super Star has also been on ZROD FM Top 30 count down for a number of weeks.

We have already begun to pay our dues to the community by giving back. We have made a donation to the Special Ed School (Eselyn Richez Learning Center); presented an award to the host of ZROD FM 103.7 Top 7 @ 7 Show during the award show and we also presented tickets to the youths at the Rainbow Children’s Home to attend the Top 7 @ 7 Show. Yes, one day the fame will come and CB4 Lyfe will be real super stars.

To our Peers we want to say – dropping out of school is not cool, it does not make you a tough guy nor does it mean you are grown up. So, if you want to be cool, you got to stay in school; make education your number 1 priority and everything else will fall in place.
