ABOUT THE ARTIST
Coming up when I was a child, I had two idols, God and my uncle, Chicago Willie. He was a famous piano and guitar player who inspired me to do music, but do the type of music that you will feel. One day he was shot and killed in the Fischer Project over jealousy of the talent he was blessed with. After the death of my uncle, I took it to a whole new level. I started writing a lot of R&B Rap songs and my songs started building up. It became a passion. I was writing so much it felt like I was catching arthritis in my fingers.
Running around the wrong crowd, everything I was blessed with felt like it was coming to an end. Jumped in the drug game day and night, running behind cars distributing rocks like it was the only thing I had left to do with my life. $2000 a day, with a few lil small timers under me didn't do anything but send me to prison. I guess I was addicted to the fast cars and money. One thing I learned about this life, the money is was good but it a hurting feeling when you going to funerals every other week seeing one of your boys laying in the casket. It makes you wanna do something righteous with your life.
I've never been in the Army or the Navy and don't try to put Dessert Storm off on me but I know 200 people dead. And I wouldn't want to see another one that I know trapped behind bars first place Winfield Correctional Center. I got myself caught up in a gang fight, I never had a chance to unpack my clothes. My home became a cell block CO Officer Winston locked me in a cell block and brought me a pen and a pad. He told me to write until I can't write no more. I got one week to write 15 songs, if I don't write 15 songs in one week, I have to do another week. Not only that, all the lyrics had to be tight. Man I'm only 18 years a buck 25 and they got me laying on ice.
Six weeks after my son, Lil Corey, was born, I'm asking myself should I trade life in for death because a dog don't live like this. In other words, let this be a message to the youngsters growing up under me; Never stop your dreams. Keep pursuing them as long as you live, I have over 400 songs written and still writing.
