Biography
CROC"
In recent years, the sound of the South has taken the Hip-Hop world by storm. Producing a string of #1 hits, rappers such as Ludacris and T.I. have certainly made their presence felt in the Rap game. But when you think of greatness, there is only one place that delivers time and time again, Brooklyn, NY. Birthplace of Hip-Hop legends Jay-Z and the late Notorious B.I.G., Brooklyn has once again blessed us with another rapper surely to follow in their footsteps, Croc.
Croc, raised in the Glenwood Housing Projects of Brooklyn, NY, is one of the brightest young stars to burst onto the scene in 2006. Featured on NYC mixtape legend D.J. S&S's first "Signed vs. Unsigned" CD, Croc quickly made a name for himself on the underground Hip-Hop circuit. Having spent some of his childhood years in Miami, FL, Croc developed a unique edge and different swagger. "I have a sound of the South but with the heart of Brooklyn," explains Da Pak Entertainment artist, Croc. With tongue-twisting phrases and a strong sense of flow, Croc brings a variety of styles that can be felt on the streets and in the clubs.
Behind the raw, sample-free music of Croc's project is producer Lasette Wilson of "That Female Productions." Together, Croc and Lasette bring nothing but pure heat to the streets! Lasette's production covers a wide spectrum of music, from crunk influenced club bangers to head nodding classic Hip-Hop strictly for the streets. Also adding production to Croc's project is Industry producer and Brooklyn native Jayd of "Block Boyz Entertainment." Jayd has worked with a slew of music biggest stars, Missy, Naughty by Nature, Pink, 3LW and New Edition to name a few.
Croc draws topics from his own life experiences, which is evident in each verse and chorus that he delivers. In his voice you hear the pain of a young man who grew up with a mother on drugs and no father present. With his back against the wall, Croc became a father of his own style and is ready to unleash it upon the world. Combining a twang of the South with the soul of Hip-Hop's hollow grounds of Brooklyn, Croc will have fans and listeners everywhere captivated by his cutting edge sound. With a mic in his hand and hunger in his belly, Croc is the latest addition to Brooklyn's legacy of producing Hip-Hop greats.
