Hi! I'm Dawn Van Name and my CD has 11 songs on it which includes love song ballads, soft rock, country pop, pop rock, Latin and Indian tempos, acoustic and electric guitars. Not one song is the same. Currently, I have 11 songs on show here from my Billboard Awarded NO HARDEN HEART CD.
STYLE OF WRITING
I have been writing, singing and playing guitar for over 25 years, I started in my youth and still have songs that I have yet to record. I write to inspire, to up lift, to encourage, and to strengthen others.
As you can see I can write from different categories and enjoy doing it as it leads me on new adventures!
MUSIC INFLUENCESThis also is very wide ranged as I like Johnny Cash, Anne Murrary, Boston, Eagles, Madonna, Pat Benetar,
Kenny Rogers, HEART, Skinnard, and John Denver! Yes, I am all over the board and today love Taylor Swift, Cali Cobe, and KID ROCK! Loving a vast array of artists is probably why my writing style is in different areas.
WHAT HAVE I DONE LATELY?
Recently finished 2 more albums in Tennessee this year at Trinity Music, the former Conway Twitty's Mansion. The 2nd CD is a Country CD titled "My Way of Living'" and the 3rd CD is a Christian Rock CD titled "Walkin' In Faith".
Both CDs were produced and mixed by Eddy Joyner with arrangements by Dirk Johnson, Mike Severs, Craig Carter, Tommy Wells and Sarene Van Name on backing vocals.
I hope to have these 2 new CD's up and for sale at CD BABY by the end of November 2008!

Live on top of the Allegany Mountain foothills in N.Y. For those of you who have no idea where I'm talking about its an hour south of Buffalo- the home of the Buffalo Bills, 2,220 feet above sea level, beautiful in the summer and where 30 degrees is a heat wave in winter! Happily married with 5 kids, 2 cats, 2 hounddogs and all the wild life of deer, bears, fox, snow owls, turkeys, pheasants, doves, and coyotes that surrounds me. I'm a family gal, although I live in the country hillsides of Allegany County I'm a "Southerner" at heart. Love to hike in the woods, talk about music, faith, hunting, big fan of WWE, PINKS (car racing),Monster Trucks, Jim Shokey, love comedy movies, and of course writing songs and playing my "gee-tar"
