Biography
People often ask me why I've never "made it." At times I've wondered what makes some of us luckier than others too. Why do some people seem to get all the breaks, while others struggle and never seem to come close to grabbing that brass ring? Fate is a funny thing I guess.
Through the years I've thought about all the places I've sang and the people who came to me and said I'd touched them in some way. It's an awesome feeling to know that something you do can touch someone's heart. There is nothing bigger than that! Singing is a fire that burns so deeply inside of me that I couldn't not do it if I wanted to. When this world's been too hard, music makes it a better place.
As we go through life, if we can touch one person by something we say or do, then we've "made it". We've made it a little more tolerable for someone who's having a tough time, or we've "made it" a little more joyful for someone who needs a lift. When someone tells me I've touched them in some way, I know I've "made it."
[i]Touching another life means you aren't just taking up space on this earth, you're making a difference!
