http://www.tagged.com/cumfasum At a very young age icon ICN. realised that his ability to sing was a gift from god. As a young man he joined his church choir, and formed his first gospel group called "The Harmonizers."This soon led him to form his first R&B group called "CENTERFOLD." This group soon took the Bahamas by storm, performing locally at events such as the Miss Bahamas Beauty Pageant, Opening for the Force M.D's, Peabo Bryson, Millie Jackson, and David Peaston, Centrefold's melodious sound earned them a trip to Manhattan New York to perform at "Sweet Waters" and "Nell's" in 'The Village' in Manhattan. Not long after, the group was invited to Tee Neck, New Jersey to do a single for Sugar Hill Records called "Treasure." On his return to Nassau an "Indie" Deal from Viacom/Vista "24 Karat Management" a position awaited him by way of the most popular Bahamian group called "Fa'ame". This new group won the first Bahamian Music Award for Best New R&B Group, Best R&B Song of the year "One Kiss", a single that beat out Tony Braxton's "Seven Hold Days" coming in at #(5), according to the down south charts, and the "NewYork Amsterdam". But this was just a tease and ICON soon wanted much more. Shortly after, Management was failing and the group had become stagnant, therefore at the end of his contract ICON left
in hot pursuit of his now solo career which he is still pursuing as 'the re-invented artist' "ICON". Excluding sound tracks all Works written by, Lead and background vocal arrangements, pre-production and engineering done by Icon, for the purpose of his first official "Demo Only" and not for sale. "Why just be a man" he says, "when you can be an Icon". ICONs Motto is "I'LL SEE YOU AT THE TOP BECAUSE THE BOTTOM IS JUST TO CROWDED".
