Born in
1981, "
Curtis Mark Edwards" aka
Cutty, relocated from "
La Horquetta" at the age of 6 to live with his dad in "
Diego Martin" .Where, he attended r.
Diego Martin boys c. primary school ,and later on
St.Anthony's College. During this time he developed a love for music, he joined the choirs of both schools, as well as becoming interested in poetry and in this after he graduated,
Cutty began to persue his passions, his first release
"Rain" though not popular at home in
Trinidad, was well recieved in places like
"New York and Boston" , but he had not yet found his style, and when he did no one supported it's difference, it was not traditional, it wasn't soca, those were some of things said , so it was not until he moved back to
La Horquetta, and met up with a childhood friend
(Jabari Charles) ,one of the founders of a then newly formed and unknown studio
(Studio 53) that things began to change,
Cutty finally found a place where differrence was accepted and encouraged. So now armed with his belief of what soca music should be, and his experiences in love both good and bad,
Cutty began to work. Joined with
Angelo, and
Kwasi as well as
Jabari,
Cutty was ready to make his move, releasing the biggest groovey soca world wide for the
year 2006 by the name of
"Let's Just" ,then releasing his first reggae song that same year called
"All Alone" which is now among one of the
best reggae songs in
Trinidad for that year. So now with the acceptance of his music and the love of his fans,
Cutty continues to strive to be at his best. So to his fans thank you and remember, he'll keep doing it for you.
God Bless and again thank you.
