It has always been said that we each have a story that is lingering in each one of us. Our lives and experiences reflect the talent that we have to offer. It is how we believe in ourselves that dictates the levels of our success. I guess that is why rap is so popular today because it offers us a way to express our talents. My name is MZ. STEPHANIE, and I am a MC with a story to tell.

It all began when I was in the fourth grade. I had to recite a poem about an animal in a play in which I was the duck. When I was finished I remember a girl coming to me and saying I liked your poem but it sounded like you were rapping. From that moment I knew what I wanted to do. When I was younger, my father was abusive to my mother, and I use to write, to vent, and release what I was going through. Those words turned into poems, which turned into rap songs. If I had to relay a message, in my music, I hate to say this cause it’s so typical, but if you truly believe do what it takes to get what you want. Work hard and do not let any one stop you.

I have plenty of goals and ambitions. But my main goal in this music industry is to make good quality music, that can entertain people, touch people emotionally, and to be looked at as a Mc, not a rapper. I have been signed to multiple independent record labels such as, Blacksol Entertainment from 2000-2001, Red Cheetah from 2002-2004, and VIP INC. from 2005-2007(the agreement expired march 2007). I am currently working with Crystal Mafia. I have recently joined forces with Grier & Associates Entertainment, a worldwide marketing and promotions company. I have worked with major mixers like Larry Sturm of Pressure Point who has worked with Twista, Baha Men, Bump J and Destiny Child, among others. Also recorded with Jeff Lane of Chicago Recording Company who have recorded sessions with Bow wow, Jay z, Eve, Shawnna, Twista, Ludacris, Naz, etc. “My ultimate goal is before I leave this earth is to let people know that I am one of a kind”
