Biography
SCOTT SEARGEANT:
Scott grew up in the country surrounded by horses and Rock N' Roll. That combination is well established in his early music. His Mom played the piano mostly on days that held an enormouse amount of emotion. This included stormy days and nights, parties and special milestones in the family. That emotion he tries to recreate in his music. He started writing songs and poetry in 2000.
"I've always had thoughts running through my head. One day I decided to write down my thoughts and WAM, out poured song after song. I would be at work and get a thought and the whole song would unfold and I would be scrambling for a pen and paper. Any paper;napkins, receipts, dollar bills, and when I couldn't find any paper I would write it on my arm."
A Large part of Scott's inspiration comes from the love of his life, Rebecca, who he met a few months prior to his writing debut. "She is a great catalyst. Sometimes it's just a look or someting she says that turns on my writing mode."
REBECCA SEARGEANT:
Rebecca grew up in East Texas and attended her grandfather's Baptist church."I remember singing all the classic southern Hymns in PawPaw's church. Some of my musical roots are still there. I love the songs Scott writes that have a southern rock or bluesy sound." Rebecca grew up playing the piano but put hat on hold while she played tennis on a scholorship in Alabama (she was second in the state tournament).
After meeting Scott she started to play the bass guitar but decided the drums were her true calling. "I love the freedom and importance the drums have. I call it "Creative Control"." Rebecca also has a hand in the song writing. She wrote the lyrics to Palm Tree Breeze (will post as soon as we finish recording it)and had a hand in many other songs that Scott has written.
