Crazy Days (Double Album) 2009
Biography
One of my main interests in Music is composing and from about 18yrs old I was involved in numerous Original bands. We had some success but like many other bands we never hit the big time. But as ever, I still wrote music and whether or not I would ever make any money from song writing, I still do it because I love the buzz from writing. Tell us what you think of the tracks posted. In the early nineties the band I formed ‘Dreamzone’ we won the Liverpool Radio City Battle of the Bands competition in Liverpool and went on to record in Ian Brodie’s (The Lightning Seeds) studio in Liverpool. The High Five was another band I was in and did many gigs with. We recorded a demo and it was released on the Invicta Hi-Fi label and got some airplay on Radio 1. We had some interest from London Records and the ex Stone Roses manager. One of the most inspiring original bands I formed was Callahan; we won a chance to play in the Royal Court in front of a thousand people with the likes of 'The Coral''The Zutons' and various other Liverpool bands. Also that year we entered the nationwide competition run by Yates Wine Lodge where our demo was picked out of 1,300 entries. We played and won the various heats and played across the country in places such as: Liverpool, Manchester and Coventry. We got to the final in London where we met the Smiths drummer and bassist, who mentioned to us that they voted for us and told us they “really thought we were the best band”, although we didn’t win. I worked in a soul destroying job about three years ago and decided to leave and go to University, which I finished in July 2006 and found it a great experience. I studied Music and Music Technology which inspired me to build a small recording studio where I dedicate my time composing and tinkering with sound. After finishing college I started writing more instrumental stuff for visuals e.t.c.

I am Looking to possibly get some of my tunes used in films or artists recording them. Let us know what you think and leave us a vote.
Thanks and keep original music alive !!!
Peace!!

Yes, the music industry in tough to break into. Yes, it takes a lot of work and a whole lot of luck to really make it. But when I hear that an amazingly talented artist like you hasn't been able to make it I just shake my head. Big five from me!

Terrific job. Really professional - it's easy to see (and hear) that you have put a lot of time and effort into your craft. Definitely worth 5 out of 5. Outstanding.
