Biography
Takilma takes its musical roots from the river delta of northern California. The band has earned a name for itself by blending its elements of good time rock n’ roll with a blues feel but a jam band spiritual quality. The band members of Takilma take great pride in producing songs (in recording & live settings) that develop such soul it transcends all barriers and gets each persons inner drum beating. One show and all will agree that a Takilma performance is not something to be missed.
June of 2008 has seen the release of the bands second full length compact disc “Keep’n Her Honest”. And on this collection of tracks that is exactly what Takilma does. They keep the music honest. All 13 tracks bring about distinct musical feels but come together so effortlessly to make a bold new statement. Defying any one genre the new collection of songs has been released to great review. The band has hit the road in support of the new songs and still brings together a blistering multi-hour set of originals & classic songs that will have everyone asking for more.
