Some artists on this site with whom I've collaborated and whose pages I recommend you visit:
Paul Roger Clark - a talented lyricist and writer who penned the words for 'Still a Kid to Me' and who has recorded a version of one of my tunes, "Not What I Believe"
Rebekah Janell - a superb pianist/writer who offered me the title and idea for 'When You Come Around'
Tania Venter - an angelic vocalist who has recorded several of my songs.
On the demos here, I do all the instruments and singing myself, as well as the string arrangements, etc. I'm recording everything on my own, on a computer in my small attic studio.
Many of these songs were written during 2007-2008 as part of a writing project - a personal challenge - to write, record and post a song a week, for 52 weeks. Those songs were posted weekly at:
Alec at MySpace, where some still remain. I completed that project on February 23rd, '08, and in April '08 will be beginning a new 52 week project. This time, however, I won't be posting the songs weekly, but instead sending them directly each week, along with blog/diary notes detailing the week's trials and inspirations to those people who are keenly interested. If you'd like to join the mailing list for this project, please contact me via personal showcase message, or directly at alecsteinwall@rogers.com
I'm also making some earlier songs available for download at:
Alec at Broadjam
Thanks for listening, and best of luck to all...
Alec
