From out of Colorado's massive heavy metal scene comes one of its top musical acts: ARCANIUM
The group consists of Myster Sinn (Lead Vocals, Rotos), SufferCate (Guitars, Back-up Vocals), The Mystress (Keyboards), Seth (Bass, Back-up Vocals) and Thommy Razor (Drums, Programming). Attacking you from all fronts, Arcanium brings forth their brand of music in a way that previously had yet to be heard in the vast genre of heavy metal.
What can only be described as Innovative Metal, Arcanium pulls their talent from a wide assortment of past Colorado metal groups, as well as one from Montana. Myster Sinn served as the vocalist of both Deadless and Tryle 6. Though SufferCate is Arcanium's guitarist, in the past he was the vocalist of United by Chaos and the Billings, Montana-based Forced Religion. Seth was the bassist of Pulsatan, and Thommy Razor played drums for Skinned, and was the keyboardist, programmer and vocals for both eROTic and Cyberazor. The Mystress played keyboards for Cyberazor, as well.
A wide array of bands and musicians can be credited for influencing the members of Arcanium. The list includes Marilyn Manson, Lamb of God, Slayer, Strapping Young Lad, Hank Williams III, KISS, Rush, G.G. Allin, and Acid Bath. With such a variety of bands influencing the musical minds of Arcanium, only an amazingly unique metal sound could come from this foundation.
Arcanium originally formed in March 2007 as a group of friends who got together to feed off of each other's talent and jam. However, from the group's mutual enjoyment of playing music, a new monster was created and would surprise even those involved. Being immense fans of metal, and believing they had a new metal format that should be shared with others, the five musicians unleashed their creation on the state of Colorado. Thus, Arcanium was born.
Arcanium works in a healthy musical environment, comprising themselves of people that truly care about one another. They consider each other not just friends or band mates, but family members. The group pushes away negativity, and prides themselves on being drama-free.
Each member of the band brings something different to the table. They come from five different musical directions, pooling each of their individual influences together into Arcanium's sound. Each band member gives their input on the music, using a writing process that allows each member to contribute equally to the final product.
In such a short amount of time, Arcanium has garnered a large amount of attention in the Colorado metal scene. Clear stand-outs, the group has earned an extremely solid and loyal local fan base. Another one of the band's strong points is its amazing live performances. From this, they have been given several high-profile performances, opening for bands such as Cephalic Carnage, American Head Charge, Mower, Diecast, Ekotren, Dark Tranquility, Divine Heresy & Firewind. They have also recently been voted into the Top-18 bands in the Best Band in Denver competition sponsored by Denver radio station 106.7 KBPI. Proving their value in Denver, Arcanium was voted into the competition out of 221 local bands by the listeners of KBPI.
With all eyes aimed straight forward, the future can go nowhere but up for Arcanium, a band with the goal of earning a living by doing what they do best and love most: making music and performing live for as many people as possible.
