I'm a 58 year old ex steel worker who is pursuing a life long passion for music. I am also a trained hypnotherapist. This is a result of my life long investigation into the nature of reality and the discovery of the immense resources available to all of us through the 90% or more of our consciousness that we are not using. Music and hypnosis are very closely linked. If you'll notice the sea shantys I have posted. These songs were used by groups of people to synchronize their activity. They use a call and response pattern to harness the group energy and could be described as an example of waking hypnosis. The instrumentals are Celtic fiddle tunes. They were dance music in the folk tradition and of course hypnotic also. I think that traditional music is linked to our subconscious, no matter what tradition it comes from. And it wouldn't be surprising to find that you were working or dancing to or whistling one of these tunes in a previous existence. I would also like to mention that the tune " Buried My wife and Danced on her Grave" is an Irish tune and even though this is conjecture on my part, there is an Irish tradition of dancing as part of the funeral rite. So we could regard this as part of a pagan, maybe shamanic pre Christian tradition.
