Aliou Badara DIALLO | SYM

Bio

BLACK AFRICAN POSITIVE is a West African band, playing reggae, ragga, dance-hall, bashment, as well as acoustic and ethnic world music of West Africa. It was created on May 11th 1991 in the town of Ziguinchor, in Casamance, in the South of SENEGAL. The composer, songwriter and lead vocal of the band, Aliou Badara DIALLO, aka \"LUNE\" was born there on November 1976. Since its creation, the band has always been involved in human causes, by performing in concerts against malaria, drugs and aids. But at the beginning of year 2008, the band made a step ahead, producing its own album « IT’S MY NATION ». In the same time, they decided to work with the movie-maker Moussa GELONGAL, already well-known for his video clips for the great Senegalese singer Youssou NDOUR. In March 2008, the whole team went to Oriental Senegal. There, in the wonderful landscape around Tambacounda and among the Bassari people at the Guinean border, two clips were shot. These videos continually run on the TV channels in Senegal, The Gambia, Mali, Cameroun, on TV5 MONDE and AFRICABLE, and reveal the artist to the West African musical world. A local tour is set, opening the possibilities to reach the international stage. With the strength of his lyrics and the virtuosity of his melodies, “LUNE” gives us in this album a wide range of his skills. The maturity of his music and the diversity of his creative world surprise us.
