Biography
Born January 24, 1983, in Marquette, Michigan, Irvin Watson aka "Baby Slimm" was born into a life of full of struggle, heartache, and pain. At age 3 Slimm's mother moved him and his two younger sisters to Gulfport, Mississippi, a place where he calls home till this day. At age 13 Slimm received a 7 year sentence for armed robbery and attempted murder. During the time being locked up is when Slimm discovered his passion to write. Seeing death and lives being destroyed by the power of drugs was normal for him, but this made him step into the role of a grown man at a very young age. Expressing his feelings through writing and music would be his escape. In 1999 Slimm was signed to 2T Entertainment, which would later become Big Sipp Records, and released his first piece of work entitled, "Till Death Do Us". In 2000 he joined with Outta Nowhere Productions/K-9 Records to release "4:30, The album". He later did work on the album, "Quarter Boyz" and 4 other albums on Quarter Boy Records. After another stint in prison, "Baby Slimm" also known as the "Prince Of Mississippi", has once joined forces with Charles "Big Sipp" Smith (Cedamac) as his manager. Baby Slimm has come full circle. "Through the pain, struggle, blood, sweat, tears and losses, I do this for the streets, the penitentiary, my kids, the people that hate me, and the people who love me. Real recognize real and that is how you make it in the game, by being true to yourself and everyone around you"! After surviving a tumultuous childhood, time in prison, and Hurricane Katrina in 2005, Baby Slimm is poised to be a mainstay in the music business. His raw lyrics, his agressive stage perfomance, and his strong desire to succeed, will provide the tools for the Prince of Mississippi to soon catapult himself into the elite group of SUPERSTARS that keep the SOUTH a viable force in Hip Hop.
