If It Ain't Country, Cook It Til It Is"
I love country music, and love creating it in it's true traditional form. Seriously, when was the last time you were riding down the road, listening to a country station, and heard a song that put cold chills up and down your neck, You even yelled, Yes! The way the singer delivered the message you knew, like you, he had been there, and done that. It came from his Heart and soul..As long as I have a breath left in my body I will try and preserve the old traditional sounds. It's like restoring an old car. Just a labor of love..I'm not really here looking for an A/R person. I've been there and done that. Most of them are deaf anyway. lol. I know all about walking up and down 16th Avenue South, trying to pitch a song to some tin eared publishing company executive, that couldn't make a D chord on a guitar..
When I look back I think about all the fun I've had with a guitar in my hand. I've played those large package shows, played the Opry, And a lot of Honky Tonks and Dives.... L M A O .. I've been up and down, damn near every interstate in the good ole USA. I've been shot at and missed..Shit on and hit several times. I've been betrayed by those I counted on most to help me.
But here I am, still having fun pickin' And that's what it's all about...
I've listened to some great songs on here, "some of you" I feel are much better than what our suppose-ed-ly, lol, (is that a word)? Country radio stations, here in the United States are playing on their daily format. For you young people. I hope your dreams come true. I wish you all the luck in the world...
I put some of my songs on here for fun, and a few old mountain standards. I play pedal steel lead, guitar, banjo , bass, french harp, mandolin ,fiddle and keyboard. I recorded this music on a MRS-1266 Zoom Recorder. Using honky tonk Shure microphones. Nothing fancy just plain ole Hard core country music. lol Everything you hear is me, Almost A Lifetime Is really my bio in song, I hope you enjoy it. I thank you for all the support. I will be adding some more of my noise later on.. I Have met some great people here. One comment I got, put me to thinking .. "Old country music is dying or dead" the music business killed it. I wonder if that's really true, and if so.. Why? I still love them ole cheating drinking trucking country songs.
