Bonnie Black who's government name is Priscilla Wilnis also known as Odessah was born in The Hague, The Netherlands. As a young child she went to Suriname a caribbean country in South America where her parents are originally from and where she spent most of her childhood. As a child Bonnie already knew that she wanted to become later on in life : she wanted to be the best female rap artist out there. When Bonnie was a little girl she started singing in the choir and did a couple of talent shows on local television. At the age of ten she went back to The Netherlands in Europe where she stayed with her father who was also a very talented singer/songwriter and composer. In Europe she persuid her dream as an artist and got discoverd by local producer Erase ( The Lunatic ) . They started recording a track immidiatly because he believed in her talent. In 2000 she went to Atlanta, Georgia to record a couple of tracks with some local producers for her debut album which was scheduled to be released in 2001 in The Netherlands, but because of several diffrences Bonnie and Eraze decided to go their seperate ways. Bonnie is one of the most talented and well known female rappers in the dutch hiphop scene , she made a name for herself as a female MC doing several mixapes and collaborating with a lot of local artists. She's known for her controversial lyrics and energetic flows and is not afraid to speak her mind. In 2005 she met world famous R&B group Jagged Edge at a local club in Atlanta and they were impressed with her talent and invited her to the studio for a collaboration , but unfortunatly the collaboration couldn't take place because Bonnie had to get on the next plane back to Europe to shoot a music video for the underground single " Back breaker" . She did an opening act for Lloyd Banks in 2005 when he was on his European tour in Amsterdam. And was part of a documentary about the Dutch hiphop scene called " REDRUM" . If you have not heard of Bonnie Black yet , you will in the near future ... because she has plans to take the world by storm !
