Brett & Woods are an acoustic duo that has got 26 years of experience between them. It is made up of Stuart Brett and Ricky Woods. They are both singer song writers with a unique sound which complements the other. Stuart and Ricky both started to play the guitar in their teens and since then have mastered a number of different instruments including bass guitar, drums and the keyboard but it’s the guitar that they keep coming back to. Since Stuart and Ricky got together in 1996 there have been many different projects they have been a part of including a number of rock bands including "White Lies", "K'dinkee" "Logic" and "Y-49" of which “Y-49” is still going today but they have always enjoyed playing the acoustic music together. Stuart has taken the last few years off from his music to start a family, however he is now back doing what he loves. Stuart also is working on his solo project which is a more of a song writing project for "Y-49" & "Brett & Woods". Ricky for the last few years has ran his local youth club and does regular music workshop with the members, teaching them how to play a number of different instruments as well music theory. Ricky is also a private music teacher. Ricky also finds time to work on his new solo music project, a ‘Hank Marvin’ style of playing. The future is looking good for Stuart and Ricky and they are looking forward to whatever happens, they will continue to work on their solo projects as well as the rock band but it’s the acoustic music that is in their hearts. As long as there are songs to be written and story’s to be told Brett and Woods will continue to tell them.
