Brush Wood was formed in the spring of 2006. Jim Richardson(lead vocals/guitars) has been playing with a few line-up changes for over the last ten years. It wasn't until the addition of Alex Akimov(lead guitars), Gary Glynn(drums) and George Crecoukias(bass guitar) did the band start to notice the potential of being a class "A" rock act. The band has recorded and released their debut full length CD on June 21, 2008. Brush Wood is also currently searching for management and promotional opportunities.
As of August 2008, the band's debut CD has been reviewed and accepted into the radio format of CBC Radio. Brush Wood will be on the airwaves all across Canada. Great news!
Brush Wood is a band catering to all ages and tastes. That is the goal of the band. To bring peace, respect and love through music that hasn't been tasted by some, but sounding comfortably familiar to others. Add this to a willing, career oriented live act, and you have a recipe for success.
