Christyne Makita is a recording artist, producer and keyboardist.
Her diverse styles are certainly inspired by the dramatic and visual performances that she has worked with in the theatrical career she travelled the world with in her past career as a professional ice-skater.
She creates her music using synthesizer & electric guitar.
Christyne has produced demonstration music for YAMAHA on the Motif ES Synthesizer models.
She provided the orchestration for a local charity single in Milton Keynes in aid of the Tsunami disaster.
Produced & recorded tracks with Rap Artist and tenacious X-Factor contender Izmael Defi & sultry soul singer Debbie Murray.
She has produced music for live theatre and cabaret in Milton Keynes and Bedford with the production company, Funktional, including the shows "Rhythm Divine", "Funktional... The Return" & "The Rhythm Of Life" raising funds for MacMillan Cancer Relief, she composed and produced tributes including remixes and arrangements to Shirley Bassey, and famous composers Hanz Zimmer, Yanni & John Barry.
She has also written music for the famous Newcastle busker and entertainer along the South Bank of London, The Budgieman.
Recently had her track "Drive" featured on Global Calgary TV Advert "Elemental - The Show At Lake Louise"
Christyne has released her first instrumental album available on all international iTunes stores, eMusic, Sony Connect, Napster and many other e-commerce music markets.
She has produced jingles for Secklow Sounds radio station, produced, presented and even operated the broadcasting radio desk as for the same radio station. She has released downloadable tracks on Open Sounds Charts and reached No. 6 out of the top 50 with Budgie Boogie & Zebra Song.
Since loosing her original production equipment, she is now finding ways to create a new collection of music that consists of anything she can find that sounds good to her. Luckily the radio station and music scene she has become part of is opening up new channels and opportunities to collaborate and create new sounds and move on a little from her original sound.
In addition she is a competent fine artist in many mediums & graphic designer.
Christyne’s creative versatility is apparent with her work ranging from powerful, melodic, electronic and orchestral music to catchy pop music and even music for children all with her own dynamic individuality strongly stamped in every piece she creates. Critics have described her work as, “awesome” and “enveloping”.
Christyne’s music is ideal for the whole range of media from film to chart and advertising to theatrical production.
