Igor Klimov was born in Kharkov, Ukraine, on 20 October 1971.
From 1988 to1992 I studied at Kharkov Lyatoshinsky Music School for a degree in wind instruments (clarinet), from 1992 to1993 attended Kharkov Culture Institute (specialty – clarinet). In 1993 I was transferred to Kharkov Institute of Art where I received a degree in orchestral wind and percussion instruments (clarinet). In 1992 I participated in the From 1996 I have been working at the orchestra of Kharkov Opera House in clarinet group.
In 2003 I started to compose music recording it with the help of computer. It was fascinating to try my hand in various styles such as New Age, Ambient, instrumental and orchestral music. There are compositions where I tried to embody my fantastic ideas. “Capture of the Earth” in which specific effects make the impression of an alien civilization ruled by aggression and robots who aspire to capture the whole universe.
I often use the timbre of organ to give music a special mysterious and enigmatic colour. “Mystery”
In my composition «The seasons” I used the effects of snowstorm as a background for the howling of wolves. At first there are many of them, then only one remains… Afterwards winter gives way to spring – it is thawing, dripping thaw is replaced by the gentle murmur of a brook accompanied by bird twitter. A light melody is heard at this background. The scene of night follows with its rain and dark.
My early compositions “Day of Judgment”, “Mirage”, “Angels”, “Illusion”, “Moment”, “Monks”, “Reflection” , “Dreaming”, Twinkling Light”, “Enigma”, “Fantastic World”, “the Orient”, “Madness”, “Epos”, “Memoirs”.
In my composition “Version” I tried to depict the ancient world of animals, who had already become extinct. Their extinction is shown by the effect of heart beating with the strokes becoming rarer and lower.
“Shchedryk- Shchedryk” – the melody of a folk Ukrainian song served as the composition material.
“Elegy” is a composition for the Viola accompanied by the piano.
“Dance” – is variations of Russian folk songs
“Uncertainty” is one of the latest compositions 3.05.06, №1,2,3,4,5, “Exodus”, “Sunrise”, “Dawn”, “the Gates”.
