COURTNEY IN THE STUDIO MEEZ
Biography
Courtney, born Courtney LeSane, in Richmond,Va., on November 30th 1983, was destined to pursue a career as a singer/songwriter since the day of her birth. Music is her life, and has been so since she was old enough to even make a noise, let alone, sing a note. Her mother was the big inspiration in her life that made her love music from before the start of her life. "My mother has been playing the piano since she was 12 yrs old. She used to sing to me all the time. She even would make songs up especially for me and we would sing them together every night when she put me into bed. She said when I was a new born she would hold me and sing to me, I would look up at her and began to form my mouth like hers, thinking I was singing, but I would just blow. No sounds would come out!" Courtney's mother played the piano for and directed the Children's Choir of her church, so as soon as she was able to speak, she joined the choir and attended every choir from a child all the way to a young adult, and presently, she attends the Gospel Choir at her church. Courtney couldn't alway's write songs at first. "I began trying to write songs in like March of 2005 but, without the proper literary skills, it was just terrible! I then began to educate myself on the different techniques and rhyme schemes and challenged myself to write 50 songs using those techniques whether they were good or bad. Some songs were ok and others I knew could be potential hits." The more Courtney began to write songs, she noticed that with each song she got better and better, which only gave her confidence to continue to write. After writing over 50 songs, Courtney felt like some of her songs needed to be heard. Mainly for herself at first. She wasn't sure if her songs would be good enough for anybody else to like. Ignoring that thought and taking a chance, she recorded her first song, "Be Wit Her", which only consisted of 1 verse, a chorus, and the rest adlibs ("I wrote it like that on purpose cause i always want my songs to sound different from what everybody's use to hearin' everyday"). Keyshia Coles instrumental for "I Changed My Mind", produced by Kanye West, was used for "Be Wit Her" because Courtney had no production of her own at that time. Presently, "Be Wit Her" has gotten alot of attention and feedback via the internet and on the streets of Richmond, Va. Currently, Courtney just finished her Demo/Album entitled, "What's Wrong Wit Luv" which she recorded herself in her home and features the smash singles, "Unnecessarily Cruel", "I Do, Luv U", and, "In The Way" which all have original production. Stay tuned for her new single entitled, "No Tryin'a Come Back" which will be featured on her mixtape with her first single, "Be Wit Her".

I Do Luv You has potential with proper production. The song needs a bit of arranging (harmonic movement and B, C Sections) so as not to be repetitive. But the song and your singing are good, much potential there. ^5 for what you are doing!
