Ade', Jevon, and Chris; gentlemen of love? they soothe our soul with lyrical tales of romance and heartache, singing the songs that define our relationships in life and in love.
Their sound is as distinctive as it is timeless. It is the love letter tied with red silk ribbon, the long - stemmed rose in a crystal vase, the candlelit dinner on the penthouse balcony and the innocence of the first kiss in the moonlight.
The emergence of Crescendo is a virtual stamp in a moment of time. What began as a gathering of friends in a high school cafeteria grew into a culmination of dreams of four young men whose love for music united them in song. The native New Orleanians patterned their style after such influences as Take 6, Boyz II Men, The Temptations, and Stevie Wonder a fusion of classic R&B, the heart of neosoul, and a clear under-current of spirituality.
Following Hurricane Katrina, Crescendo saw everything they knew discarded and destroyed. But they also knew that they could only find healing in the relentless pursuit of the music career they have always worked towards. They moved their efforts to New York City in a show of solidarity that no storm could erase. Together, they would take on the world...and win.
There is Ade', whose baritone sound rises and falls like a rolling tide. He flows. His voice provides the filler, the harmonic blend that fits wherever and whenever needed. Like water, he is the essential element that brings it all together.
Then there is Jevon, the tenor. He is the heat of the fire. This baby boy spices up Crescendo's collective voice with his energy and passion for the extraordinary. He is the group's spontaneity and his voice conveys their present sound spirited soul.
Finally, there is Chris, the wind beneath Crescendo's wings. A tenor and the most experienced member of the group, his voice is like a gentle breeze, light and sweet. His smooth delivery is more than enough to soften the hearts of adoring lovers, taking them along as a feather on the morning draft.
Together they are the heart of music. The group's vocals drive the Crescendo sound, expressing the deep feelings and emotional outpouring that make them the gentlemen of love.
Each member is a gifted singer and songwriter. Together their melodic voices melt into a blend of sensuous harmony. This romantic quartet masters ballads and powerfully performs up-tempo, placing them as opening acts for such artists as Genuine, Jagged Edge, Avant and Jesse Powell . Whether the performance is at the SuperDome in New Orleans, the Black Expo in Chicago or one of the House of Blues venues, Crescendo always leaves the crowd yearning for more. They are bold.
