Thomas Vargas aka:Danny Vargas

Born in Dominican Republic on February 13, 1975. Fathers name Tomas J. Vargas, mothers name Rosa Maria Vargas. Comes from a big family of 4 sisters and 7 brothers, he’s the youngest of all. Resided the United States a month after birth. His passion for music comes from a very young age. His older brother played in local bands, most of his cousins were musician and played on local bands also. At the age of 7 he already knew how to play the guirro, a Latin instruments used on most of the Merengue bands today. By the age of 10 he knew how to play percussion. When he used to see other band playing on TV he always pictured himself playing with the band and dreamed of one day to be part of it. His inspiration in music comes from artist like Juan Luis Guerra, Ricardo Arjona, Juanes, Mana & Emilio Estefan.
His older sister bought him the first Piano which only could play one note at a time. From there on, he became more enthusiastic and would listen to music on the radio station and tried to play the same tune on the Piano. At the age of 12 he and his older brother joined the choir at church, began playing percussion and doing back-up vocals for the choir. As time passed by his ears for music had became more developed. Therefore, He was doing music arrangements for other choirs, and local bands. At the age of 14 he was joining local bands giving music ideas and writing songs. His first written song called “Pienso En Ti” was chosen for a Wedding Video and also for a local recording artist at that time. The song was played on the popular radio station called La Mega 97.9 in New York City and in the Dominican Republic on all local TV shows and radios stations. He had the honor to participate in festivals with Monchy y Alexandra, Sharin, Elvis Martinez and in the Dominican festival with Emphasis.Today he has written more then 30 songs, has done jingles for local TV shows and radio stations. Participated on singing showcases which ended on 3rd and 4th place. He made appearance in Al Despertar, and Despierta America and in Dominican Republic on local TV shows. Also performed in Madison Square Garden in front of 20 thousand people doing back-up vocals. After living a long period of time in New York decided to move to Florida. He participated in Sabado Gigante with El Chacal De La Trompeta. He has been working on his demo. His dreams is to produce for other popular artist and become a well know composer, singer and writer. Also to be loved by his fans and send a positive message through his songs. Indeed, keep his inspiration, dedication and passion towards the music and make it shine for the world.

P.S All Songs were composed, written, produce by me and the vocals. The music was done on a Roland XP-50 MusicWorkstation.The recording was done on a Korg 12 Track Digital Recording at home.
