Biography
Dave Emerson
Meet Dave Emerson, Michigan based singer and songwriter. Dave has a distinctive voice and a passion for singing, no matter how big or small a crowd. Vocally, Dave has been compared to the Eagles, Emerson Drive, and Rascal Flatts. His early influences include Elvis Presley, Ricky Nelson, and the Everly Brothers.
Dave began playing the drums as a teen, and he played acoustic guitar and sang lead vocals in a number of bands around his hometown, touring extremely during his career.
Dave has been involved in many talent shows, contests, church concerts, and benefit shows. At the age of 23, he took first place at the annual State Fair in Detroit, which hosted over 50 acts of all styles of music. Dave has a great love for country music and performing on stage.. He’s always loved the tight, cool harmonies of the Everly Brothers, the Eagles, B.J. Thomas and so many other artists with close harmonies. They helped inspire him to further his vocal talents.
In the late 90s, local talent scouts discovered Dave Emerson while he was out performing with his band, The Crimson Tide. Dave’s band enjoyed a measure of success on an independent label, Atlas Records. Unfortunately, shortly before releasing their first single, “Living Those Lies Without You,” Atlas folded.
Dave took some time off to get married, raise two beautiful daughters, and has just recently made the trip to Nashville to work with the Artist Development Network. Dave co-wrote many wonderful songs with several seasoned songwriters including: Chris Morris, Corey Barker, Larry Clark, and Chip Martin. We at the Artist Development Network are proud to present a three song EP produced by Kenny Royster, of Direct Image Studios. You can hear the unique style and sound of Emerson’s voice. We hope to hear Dave on the radio soon!
