Deborah A. Miller is a singer/songwriter from New York. This singer/songwriter has performed in many musical genres including: R&B, Pop, Jazz, Soul and Rock. She performed throughout the Tri-State satisfying audiences with her unique vocal style and range.
Deborah is a Singer/songwriter you will enjoy listening to. Her voice and style is unique. If you enjoy the music of Mary J. Blige, Jil Scott, Alicia Keys, Beyonce', Celine Dion, and all the other great artists that made their mark in music, then you will definitely enjoy this artist. Her Music is well crafted with originality and great artistry.
Her original style of music is artisticly tasteful. Her arrangements are made up of various types of rhythms that people of all ages can relate too. Deborah's goal is to write hit songs and to stand along side the other great singer/songwriters who made their mark in the music business and to be recognized as one of the great ones.
She had already been recognized by musicians and singers including, Roberta Flack, and Stevie Wonder as a gifted artist with an original style that will rock the music world. She began writing songs at the age of twelve and over the years, she covered a wide range of music which contributed to her own original style. Her voice is unique and different and that's what stars are made of. As a songwriter, she produced songs that attracted audiences and musicians alike and received standing ovation for her work. Deborah is a self taught musician who trained herself to play the piano at the age of eleven. She concentrated on creating chord changes, harmony, melodies and rhythms that elevated her musically to a level of uniqueness.
Deborah's performances includes Outdoor Concerts in the Parks, Recording Sessions, Colleges, Weddings, Show Cases and Open Mic for singer/songwriters. She Performed at Madison Square Gardens, The Apollo Theater, The Plaza Hotel, Tavern On The Green, Savoy Manor, Colleges and Night Clubs.
Her love and inspiration for music came from her parents. Her mother is a jazz singer and actor/director and her father a jazz guitarist /songwriter. Deborah is also recognized by The American Society of Poetry as one of the great voices in poetry of this time. She received awards for her outstanding works in poetry and was invited to perform her works in Washington, DC at The Convention for Outstanding Poets. Five of her poems were selected for publication in 2004.
