"New French Recording Artist makes her debut in the U.S."
Not since Lauryn Hill has the music industry encountered a recording artist quite like Djo-Nacin.Kacou. This song-stress / floes-cist, comes to us from Paris, France, via Cote DIvoire, Africa and is now ready to share with us her thoughts about Joy, Pain, Love and Redemption.
Born in the eighteenth part of Paris, Djo-Nacin has been calling New Jersey home now for the past ten years. After many years of trial and error, she is now ready to stake her claim in the United States and beyond.
At the age of seven Djos mother brought her to the Celestial Church of Christ in Paris, France and placed her in the choir. A fellow church parishioner suggested to Djos mom that she keeps her in the choir so that she can develop and hone her craft.
Not long after her introduction to the choir, Djo met her father for the first time. This meeting changed Djos life forever, mentally, emotionally, spiritually and musically. Her father came not only bearing gifts of love, but gifts of music were given to her in abundance. That one moment of time in Djos life, would alter and shape her musical path forever. Djo was introduced to CDs of Billie Holliday, Bob Marley, Josephine Baker, Sade and Whitney Houston to name a few. Djos life was never the same after that.
She was now thrust into a world of music that would enable her to communicate and share her feelings of love, pain and joy with the rest of the world. She now had an outlet to share and translate what she saw going on in the world around her through song. Her driving or preach, but to heal and raise the level of consciousness iforce is not to teach n us all.
