Group was formed 1997. in the small city of Novi Sadlocated in province of Vojvodina. The original line-up of the band were Mihajlo and Robert. dreDDup was known to experiment with weird sounds and dark wave / industrial music genres. Soon after they changed their sound to industrial .As the post-Vivisect scene in Novi Sad the band found themselves releasing their LP "Abnormal Waltz" for the net-label Amduscias Records in USA (re-released in 2007.). New members joined this duo.
dreDDup began live performances in 2000. but was presented to the wider audience in their 2002.
performance for Duplo Dno Garage Party 2 festival. Soon after, they worked on their first demo LP "R U Digital!?" (CD was never released, although it was printed by the band for their fans). Soon after, they composed theater music and some music for the tv shows on the national television RTS.
The music of dreDDup is a mixture of dark ambiental sounds with rough industrial rhythm followed
by metallic vocals. They changed their sound a lot since 1997. but were always known as "the only live
industrial band" in Serbia.
Band than changed it's line-up leaving Mihajlo the only original member. Soon after their first official
LP took place - "Mr Borndeads Feast" released for MoocSound a Holland music label. This album talked about the past and the presence of past in peoples minds. The lyrics on the album were much mature than on previous releases and dreDDup found a completely new generation of fans. Band than did gigs all over the country, playing in more than 200 towns. After "Mr Borndeads Feast" they published "One Way" compilation for the SKC NS] organization which deals with
concert & theater performances along with video art in national wide range. Many of documentaries and
video clips took place and band finally got a strong line-up. The new members pushed the boundaries even
further. Working on new LP "Future Porn Machine" they signed for Belgrade record label Insurrection records. The band is currently working on it's new album
"El Conquistadors" which will be released in 2009.
