Hip hop is where William Gone sought and found comfort in the crime infested streets of the Bronx in the 80's. William Gone was raised, as an inner-city youth, in Brooklyn New York by a single parent, watching the struggles through his mothers eyes. William Gone has also performed at various venues throughout NYC. As a member of the group Official Pham, William Gone was the first independent hip-hop artist to have a song featured on satellite TV's music choice channel. Official Phams' solo-debut single " i need a..." (Recorded and released by EMI/Avatar records) was featured on the season finale of "the Bernie Mac show".

The song "I am in heaven", re-mixed for dance artist Holly James by famed dance producer David Anthony (Janet Jackson,3LW), is a testimonial to his ability to enhance the flavor of any track. William Gone, as the feature artist, this song climbed its way to the "top 10" in Europe. Gone has also been featured on the international singing sensation Reenie. From her self titled album “Reenie”. The hit single "hey dj', from Reenie - which is currently at number one on the charts in Asia.
