Vancouver-based pop/rock singer/songwriter Hailey Morgan knew she was bound for the stage at a young age, when at 3 years old she belted out a tune from her high chair. "I was shocked, I had no idea she could sing, let alone knew a song," was what her mother had to say. And from then on, she just kept going. By 8, she was writing original pop/rock songs at the piano, 13, recording those songs in the studio, and now at the age of 15, has just released her debut album "You & Me" featuring 10 of her best original's.
Her sound can be compared to Kelly Clarkson meets Sarah McLachlan. She has Kelly’s strength and vocal range but with Sarah’s airiness effect and ease of melody. An early musical influence on Hailey Morgan was the rock group Evanescence especially lead singer Amy Lee.
Hailey Morgan has performed at numerous shows, festivals, fundraisers, contests, community events and songwriter’s showcases. She won the Youth Talent Search at the Abbotsford Agrifair, was selected as a finalist at the Star Discovery Talent Search at the PNE and wowed audiences at the West Coast Singer/Songwriter Competition where she was chosen as a finalist from among 120 adult competitors.
