I have learned that God's Word is my life-line. It is my only means of survival. My time with Jesus keeps me awake in this life. It keeps me alive. There was a time when I was drowning in sin, and even after I repented, I was sinking under the roaring sea of shame. One day that all changed.

Abandoned by everything that was familiar, in a large cold room alone I sat on a tiny hard bed with only sheer white curtains on the window, shame had cost me everything. I had overcome the sin, but the shame was killing me. It had killed me as a person, a wife, and a mother. I had caused so much pain to so many people I just didn't want to live anymore. Sitting there I heard in my spirit, "Get your bible and turn to Isaiah Ch. 62", so of course I did. It reads:

Because I love Zion, I will not keep still. Because my heart yearns for Jerusalem, I cannot remain silent. I will not stop praying for her until her righteousness shines like the dawn, and her salvation blazes like a burning torch. The nations will see your righteousness. World leaders will be blinded by your glory. And you will be given a new name by the Lord's own mouth.The Lord will hold you in his hand for all to see- a splendid crown in the hand of God. Never again will you be called "The Forsaken City" or "The Desolate Land." Your new name will be "The City of God's Delight" and "The Bride of God (Beulah)" for the Lord delights in you and will claim you as His bride.



Suddenly, I was overcome with weeping, and the warmth of His presence. I began weeping, not just a few tears, but a deep travail that came up out of the depths of my spirit. He was GIVING ME A NEW NAME! That name, Beulah, is forever who I am. "The Bride of God" I am the bride of the Creator of the universe, who hung the stars and the moon, who holds back the sea's from drowning the earth!! What do I have to be ashamed of! He cast my sin as far as the east is from the west, it is gone, forgotten, He doesn't remember it why should I? I am free from the lie of Shame! His word is the same to you! If you have accepted Jesus Christ you have become "The Bride", you are HEALED and FREE! You just have to accept it and walk BOLDLY in the new name that God has blessed you with! WHOM THE SON SETS FREE IS FREE INDEED!
