Over the past six years, 22-year-old singer/songwriter Jeremy Ring has mixed powerful vocal performance with a unique writing style to create music filled with raw emotion. Now gaining a solid fan base as a solo act, Ring got his start as the frontman for the popular Omaha band System 481. Ring’s influences include a wide variety of artists including Silverchair, Better than Ezra, Ben Folds, Elliott Smith, and Blue October.
In August 2006, Ring released his first self-titled EP. The record sold many copies and the song “Unglued” received airplay on 89.7 KRUI in Iowa City less than one month after the release of the EP. Ring recently started recording material for his sophomore release “Waiting for the Sun” which is set to release in 2007.
