Hi everyone,
First and mostly I would like to thank all of you who drop by for a listen.Music is my life and I feel very blessed to have the opportunity to share it with you.I've been singing since I was just a little girl,playing my old records and taking over the living room as my stage while my dad was trying to watch his hockey game on saturday nights.I knew that I wanted to be a singer the first time I saw Barbra Steisand on a late night tv show after I took over the TV from dad.I sang throughout school in choirs and wrote poetry in my spare times.I had big dreams and carried them along with me over the years.I traveled intensivily for many years and made friends with many musicians along the way with who I performed and formed bands from time to time.I moved back to Montreal a few years ago and started my band Josie Vie and the Jazz Gents.It was the begining of many collaborations and experimentations.The rest goes without saying,it's a daily progress and music makes my world go around.Most of these tracks are recorded at home in a little cheapo studio with minimal equipment.I would like to thank the very talented James Newhouse( he has gold at the tip of his fingers) for the piano/keys tracks and his wonderful spirit and support over the last few years(check Newhouse music Production)I'm also collaborating with Michael Feldman (''a real mf'' on myspace) fantastica producer from Florida on an electronica/loungy project.My newest additions are my little pride and joy ''Sapphire Blue'' and ''Stay with me'' collaboration with Alisson Mark(Sweetness) from Brazil who wrote the music,collaborated on the lyrics and plays on the tracks (check Alisson Mark on myspace)a fabulous and talented artist to discover!!!.I'm always looking for collaborations and would like to meet producers and musicians who may have ideas and projects to share with me.I'm very creative and I can turn them up in no time.I'm open to different styles and can be quite versatile with my voice.( all original material is under copyrights)Enjoy my page and please leave comments and feedbacks...Love and Light.Josie***
