Artist’s Bio


“Superfunkyjazzyrockinhiphopsoul” is the only way to describe the music of KADRAE, an artist who’s on a quest to blend the best of old school and new school. Largely influenced by the music of Prince, Michael Jackson, Kirk Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Jimi Hendrix, Norman Brown, and Aerosmith to name a few, KADRAE’S music covers a wide array of styles and genres making him accessible to a wide audience. As an artist, KADRAE writes, produces, sings and plays all of the instruments on many of his recordings.

In 2004, KADRAE began recording his current album, Eclecticism: Mind Of A Mad Man. The album pays homage to all of the old school and new school artists as well various genres and styles that provide, the soundtrack KADRAE’S life.

The first single, Put Your Hands Up (Letitgoletitflow), is a fusion of funk and jazz, with a tinge of rock. The single is currently receiving a lot of airplay on internet radio (www.idolunderground.com, www.fredio.com and www.netmusicmakers.com) as well as rave reviews from both critics and listeners alike. It is also currently available for download/purchase at www.lojazz.com.

Other songs from the album include a wide array of styles and genres. 45 Days fuses electronica, hip-hop, and jazz into a space-age-like groove. Southern N.S.S. is straight hip-hop and features a guest appearance by LRJ. Friday Night is mixture of R&B, smooth jazz, funk, and pop and pays homage to the Friday nightlife in Houston, TX. She Don’t Know Heaven is easy listening pop, soft rock, and R&B fused into an Eagles/Bee Gee’s-esque groove. And, last, but, not least, Don’t Touch Me is hard rock and pop that’ll surely rattle speakers around the globe.
