I am a singer /songwriter/musician.I am 49yrs old.I was born in Chicago,Illinois.....Let me tell you a bit about my music history:
I started with the church at six or so....And I was doin´alright,but the music made me cry and I couldnt sing in chuch for years,cause it moved me too much....,then in Gage Park,where I had this really cool music teacher,Mr Robert Allen, I learned what I could do with my talents,ear,memory,power........and I learned to play my guitar to go along with my vocal style.Later,my coach and vocal trainer became Nate Griffen.
This man made me work hard to where I am in my self as an artist today.
Over the years I have been blessed to know and play on stages with people like Lonnie Brooks,Katie Webster,Albert King,Carey,and Lurrie Bell.......just to name a few blues people I learned from......on the Jazz tip,I learned a lot from the Freeman Bros.,Von and George(my godfather),Franz Jackson, and and of course ,my mother,Jeanne Carroll.
I recorded with delmark records in Chicago,and you can find me on European labels Ornament,Acoustic,and Wolf in Germany and Austria.
I currently live in Europe.
I have been in music professionally since age 14,beginning in my mom´s band
I have been writing songs for just as long.
I have put a couple of songs (still can´t count Mama), from myself and some friends of mine here,and I hope you like............Some of the credits got to go to Kamillion in L.A. who produced the beats...thanks for letting me see what I could do.......and MJ Booze....East Coast is totally covered babyboy aka BoozeJR aka Polo from the North Star(you got too many Mike)...and of course I wrote and sang all vocals and sung lyrics....so those are not guys singing harmony....its all me.....them dudes didnt want to sing!
Any way,we all got together in Nurnberg and Munich(my maiden voyage into this genre),and here we are.
