Chris ( K-OS ) Hodges, one of the worlds most talented rap artist is no stranger to hard work in the music industry. This young man has started his own label based out of East Saint Louis, IL. With the name LETHAL CARTEL RECORDS. This label is known in the streets of BROOKLYN NY, QUEEN NY, BRONX NY, COMPTON CA., FREZNO CA., DAYTON OHIO, CLARKSDALE MS., MEMPHIS TN and of course Saint Louis MO. K-OS has been everywhere performing and grinding his music. In 1997 a lot of hard work was recorded at SAINTS STUDIOS, the same studio that the multi platinum artist NELLY came from. The SAINT LUNATICS know K-OS very well from shows and freestyle battles in the studio. City Spud, leader of the St. Lunatics and NELLY lil brother, saw that K-OS has what it takes to be a star and started working with him on a day to day basis. They recorded several songs together but after the incarceration of CITY SPUD in 1999 the collaboration came to a stop. Two days before this incarceration K-OS and CITY SPUD took a trip to PARAMOUNT studios where K-OS recorded a song with CHARLIE WILSON from the GAPBAND. Music made by CITY SPUD and lyrics from K-OS and CHARLIE WILSON made this song a hit. K-OS started opening up for major artist all over the world with songs from his independent album MOVE SOMETHING, which has thousands of digital downloads in CHINA, JAPAN, LODON, GERMANY and RUSSIA. Tired of grinding his music in St. Louis K-OS took a airplane trip to New York not knowing a soul just to pass out promo flyers and sell CD’s. This got K-OS a 5 minuet spot in the BRONXS SUPERFEST, 10 minuets at the STADIUM and 7 minuets at MADISON SQUARE GARDEN. While in NEW YORK after meeting a lot of good people, studios began to open for the hard working artist. Hours at different studios let New York producers know K-OS is not playing around. 2005 K-OS grind more and more this talented man not only rap, produce, graphic designer and CEO of his own label now show promoter is added to the list of many skills. LETHAL CARTEL RECORDS has presented to the club scene of St. Louis ICE T, JIM JONES, BLACK CHILD, JA RULE, BIZZY BONE, BUSHWICK BILL, CROOKED I, MO BETTA, ALMIGHTY Q, RISING STARS MAGAZINE, THE SOURCE, ROXANE SHANTE and has help the discovery of many local acts.
