Not long ago, Yung Legend (born Leejon Aunte Tolliver-Seavior) was just a homeless young man sleeping in vacant apartments. Born and raised in the infamous Los Angeles, California, with nothing but a dream, hunger, and amature demos, Yung Legend began to create a buzz. Through local talent shows, live performances and freestlying at the mall he caught the eye of Chairman and Ceo of an undergroud label in Beverly Hills, Ca. It was then that Yung Legend got the big break that all up in coming artist dream of...or so he thought. Performances and tours were scheduled, along with album dates and video shoots. Unfortunately, none of those thing ever happened, Yung Legend was forced to move to Fontana, Ca. where he became homeless, struggling to find food and shelter. Although, that time in his life was difficult, he never lost sight of his goal of becoming a rap sensation. Yung Legend worked at Marshalls for minimum wage( which at thee time was a measely $6.75) in order to earn the money that purchased his studio equipment. Now, unsigned and extremely ambitious in the summer of 2008 Yung Legend is set to release his first mixtape, titled "I Am Legend". The mixtape has sold over 3500 copies in the first week, all from the trunk of his '89 Chevy Trail Blazer. From the streets to the industry Yung Legend is surely on his way to becoming exactly what his name implies... a young legend.
