I call it "modern, folk, country, blues, rock, jazz". I'm mainly influenced by the blues but I grew up listening to country so I guess it's in the veins and I aint gonna fight it. I've been writing songs since I was about 14 and started learning to play about the same time. I'd like to think that my music is ecclectic although most people tell me it's country. I can live with that. There's always been room for a boogie woogie at the ho-down. I was heavily into blues in the eighties and nineties then started to drift into Jazzy stuff and ballads. I just write all the time and try to let each song have its own story through the music.
