Biography
Hi, my name is Mark Haworth.
I'm 18 years old, studying popular music production and Media Writing at university.
I have been playing guitar for nearly five years, and am heavily influenced by the guitar playing skills of Gary Moore, Zakk Wylde and Glenn Kaiser, among others.
I have been playing live for over two years in a number of bands, starting originally from Hell Defiled back in 2006, and from then on with a band called Kings of Death (www.myspace.com/kingsofdeath), who had to take a break because of uni commitments. The Futile (www.myspace.com/thefutileuk) is my latest project, a three piece hard rock band, but all through that time I have been building up my blues guitaring skills, recording and taking part in open mic nights all over Derbyshire, and gaining confidence at playing alone.
The songs that I have on here (Dear Satan and Follow You) are two original songs.
Follow You is about standing tall against Satan even throughout all the stuff that he may throw at you. "I know I ain't alone; I'll keep on goin' your way" shows my attitude towards the subject, that we must persevere through the testing times and carry on, not worry about anything that the enemy has. We know that God is the true winner of the battle! (Matthew 6:34)
Dear Satan is my dig at the devil! Tellin him to back off! He has no right interfering with our lives. Before I was saved he had a hand and a saying word on all that I did. But no more. I am no more a slave to sin, and I know that I am constantly under attack from the enemy. The lyrics "I am under attack" stand out personally big time for me, as I know that my life previous to being a Christian contain many sins and evil doings that tempt me day in day out. But thankfully I know that I am no longer dead in those sins. I have been made alive in Him! (Ephesians 2:4-5)

My personal life includes stories of drug and alcohol abuse up to the age of 17, oblivious to the awareness of my family and close friends. I was attending church for about a year before I made a commitment to Christ at a youth event called 'Newday' in August 2007, where I found the true wonders of God and his message in an evening meeting.
I am using my musical ability, God given musical ability, full heartedly into the spreading of the Gospel! The Way, The Truth, and The Life is in my music!

I use a Gibson Les Paul 1960 as my guitar, and it plays beautifully! The bass guitar I use is a Wesley 5 string that I have been borrowing of a friend for the past few months! The drum kit I use to play with is a Session Pro standard kit with Sabian Solar cymbals. The keyboard I use is some sort of Yamaha. I also use Piranha cables, Kustom amps, Marshall amps, Freshman acoustic guitars, also Epiphone electric guitars and Tortex Plectrums.
