Since 1987 I have been expressing myself via music. Starting out humble with two tape decks, a microphone, a Casio SK1, and a Radio Shack dj mixer. In the early 1990's I advanced to a Gemini phrase sampler and a Fostex cassette four track. As the end of the century got close I had a more advanced MIDI set up. And only the past couple of years I finally got on board with computer sequencing software which I have been resisting all this time.[p]Currently my gear list includes: drums: Alesis D4 drum module, Roland TR707 drum machine, & Kawai R100 drum machine synths: Casio CZ101, Yamaha PSS 480, & Korg Electribe EA various: Bhaji's Loops & Microbe as used on my Tungsten E PDA, Ableton Live 6, Korg Kaoss Pad, Roland S330 sampler, Korg Electribe ESmkII and some rack effects.[p]One reason I started making my own music is because I was getting bored with what record companies were pushing on people via the radio, so I set out to do the sounds I wanted to hear and write the type of lyrics I would like to listen to. My influences range from Melle Mel's lyrics and delivery, to Marley Marl's raw productions, to Biz Markie's comedy, to El P's seriousness, to everything else which would take up too much space to write.
