Kem B - Saxophonist & Floutist

Born and raised in Brooklyn NY for the first 11 years life, Kem moved to Bethlehem Pennsylvania in 1994. His Interest in music started with the piano on which he took lessons for a year. Shortly thereafter, in 1997 interest in the flute developed ("this is where I found I had a real heartfelt passion for music").

While in school, Kem was placed in the most advanced section of the band and was chosen to play a solo in an annual Christmas event.

Upon moving to a new school, Kem joined the jazz band and worked diligently with the band teacher. His persistence and passion pushed him to continually learn and grow in his craft. One night while listening to his dad play his classical guitar to a Kenny G tune, Kem decided: "I had to play the sax".

In January of 2003, Kem began teaching himself to play the sax. Shortly thereafter, he found himself playing before large crowds at church functions and many other events. Kem says: "I love being and entertainer! I discovered that in music there is freedom, joy and life in every note that is played!"

Kem enjoys his craft as a musician, especially since he recognizes this is only the beginning. His experiences thus far have allowed him to explore a wide range of musical styles, while maintaining his own unique artistic identity.
