Biography
Gospel recording artist, Ramond Yzer, is a living testimony of what God can do for those who believe. Throughout his musical career, he claimed God's promise that he can do all things through Christ which strengthens him (Phil. 4:13). Born in Suriname, South America, to the late Arthur and Ine Yzer, Ramond developed an appreciation for the saxophone at a very early age. He was influenced by the late Jopie Friese, an accomplished saxophonist, He carried this desire into his adult life. It came as no surprise that he motivated his son, Rendelle, to play the saxophone and his daughter, Natalie to play the flute. How he enjoyed the many years of their music -- until they left home for college.
It was at this juncture in his life when he stepped out by faith and asked God to bless him with the gift of music. Claiming Phil. 4:13, and with much faith and encouragement by his family, especially his wife, Lorraine, Ramond accomplished his goal.The release of his first CD, My Tribute - Give Thanks, was a milestone, Most requested tracks are "When We All Get to Heaven," "Because He Lives," "My Tribute," and the medley, "Soon and Very Soon/Down by the Riverside." Listeners found this CD to be "very uplifting and inspiring." His second CD, Jesus, the Light of the World, was released in time for Christmas 2004. This 15-track arrangement offers the listener a variety of familiar Christmas favorites. Most requested tracks are "Joy to the World," "Away in a Manger," and "Jesus, the Light of the World." All praise and honor go to our heavenly Father for sending His only begotten Son to dwell among us as the Light of the world.
