NSC (New Sons Cartel)
NSC a Cape Town based group started in 2005, has since performed at countless clubs and venues of various clientele, such as Cinnamon, Zula Bar, Orchard Bank, @mosphere, Mint(joburg) including annual festivals such as: the festive Switching on of the Lights(Company Gardens) and the street filling Cape Town Night Market (Addereley Street).
NSC have collaborated with prestigious artists such as Lungelo, Claire Phillips (SAMA award winner), Caramel (P.O.C fame) and many of the hottest new artists in the industry today.
Consisting of three core founders: O, Plan Be (mcs) and Delay (beats and production).
O - born and bred in Cape Town an mc with a singing history, his baritone husk wraps thought provoking lyrics that roll on a paced delivery.
Plan Be - born in Dominica (Caribbean) lived and traveled extensively, a mixed accent wields an effortless flow that bounces and weaves in and out of rhythmic patterns.
Delay - born and bred in Cape Town, (son of a pianist) he shapes tailored intricate soundscapes that have more of a ‘classic’ than ‘contempary’ sound. Delay is somewhat of a visionary, with a unique approach and execution to his art.
All are passionate and dedicated to their music and as all are solo artists as well, NSC has enough material to keep busy and release consecutively.
With sights set on raising local and international musical standards NSC bring ‘reality rap’ from the heart in a time where mainstream rap is shallow and one dimensional.
With hopes to raise pride and faith in the struggling South African music industry-
