Is something strange to find someone who trust in honesty and fidelity in a materialistic society like ours. It seems a task characteristic of good humanitarians and gathering philosophers instead of a rock’s musician who, in most of cases, we wait excesses and rebuffs more than intentions and purposes
Well... everyone, in spite of the materialistic ways that would be his actions, he thinked many times about if his life is being developed how he wants and if that interior voice won’t be speaking to him higher of he would want ever.
Without intentions to be a musician moralist or to have the intention of emulating messianic bands like Creed or U2, for example, really Nexther List who comes from one of those gray, wet neighborhoods and of hard-working people - he is deeply influenced by certain spiritual reasons which mark his lyrical and musical tendencies so clearly
Moved by this interior voice that deafen him, in the summer of 1999, just with two friends named Kaos and Carlhos -coming both of bands of the same city- he decides to undertake his artistic adventure.
Together, they form an alternative band named Nexus.9, which at the end of 2000 signature their first hire with GDA MUSIC, a major records company of GODO Enterprises in Barcelona. By several months they leave all the time to recording. They prepared the promotion of the album: "Nowhere on the edge of the world" and it becomes in one of those modest independent recordings which’s considered as a cult recording.
Due to their austere sound, some independent radios they compare them with Radiohead. Meanwhile, the continuous vortex of difficulties it don’t stop. Some critics denominate them the Rialto of Spain . Finally, after a lot of troubles and some glory, their label, for blame of internal executive changes, decides to close the editorial section and they remain left again without work.
The band is restructured and Kaos and Nex they decide to perform a new musical project, this time like a duet. They prepared and they compose new songs, and at the same time they were looking for a new label. But the problems not finish yet. For blame of personal problems, Nex leaves Barcelona and he moved to another city. The months were passing and the distance makes the band reconsiders a friendly separation, saving some collaborations in common works.
He moved for a time. Visiting family & old friends in his loved Ireland. He traveled to his ancestor’s land (Danmark) & other countries. Until finally he stayed definitively between Dublin & Barcelona. Living half year in each city. In Spain he forms a new band named DRIFTWOOD. This time is a 70..s cover’s band. They play in the most important Irish and English pubs and unexpectedly they are very, very successful. But Nex, he needs inside his soul to write and compose new own songs.
In this way, he begins his new lonely adventure. He work with the Catalan producer Miquel Cellalbo and together they look for a new and original sound. Just comparing with another bands, they discovered a new sound which arising in north’s Europe. It’s being born the "MOTIF Rock"
Influenced by international artists as Jef Buckley,Damien Rice and bands like SAYBIA or Radiohead, he release a clearing personal style with deep lyrics and spiritual melodies which, without moving him away from his previous work, it provides him a wider vision of the world and the concerns around the society in which we live.
A really privileged voice. A noble and melancholic soul and a sweet and sour memory of his missed Nordic countries. Surrounded of a handful of valuable musicians of trust who respect his philosophy, he shows to the world his notes. ......A life in twelve songs.
