Biography
I've been having a bit of fun with GarageBand lately. There's Something....I did with that program.
BRING IT ON!
If I'm going to call myself a song writer, I'd better take on the challenge of some business, don't you think?
So here's the deal: Challenge me to write a song for you to perform. Send me a private message telling me
1. The theme.
2. The Genre
3. The Sound (Similar to which artist/songs)
4. Anything else you want included.
If I feel I can meet the challenge, I'll write it, but you have to record it, post it and let me include it in my showcase.
It sounds like fun to me! How about you?
One of the people who've taken up the challenge is Alec Steinwall of SYM. He set and met the phenomenal goal of writing, recording and posting 52 songs in 52 weeks....and doing an amazing job on each one. You've GOT to check out his showcase. I won't say Alec is a genius (since he can tie his own shoes and plays hockey) but somewhere far above "brilliant", I'm sure there is an appropriate word.
After getting acquainted, I sent Alec some lyrics which he turned into "Still a Kid to Me". Then he sent me "Not What I Believe" which I did a questionable styling of. Then I sent him some more lyrics (which he's still working on.), then he sent me the sketch lyrics for 'Nashville', the results of which, I've just posted (Since he said he liked it.).
I didn't realize co-writing was this enjoyable.
