Slim Red is an up and coming artist from Crime Bluff, Arkansas. He has had a love for music since his childhood days. However, rap music stood out more to him. As an adolescent, he mimicked and imitated several of his favorite rappers. He then began to develop his own style as he learned more about the hip-hop culture. As his passion for the culture grew, he wanted to put his skills on display. Therefore, he began freestyling with his high school classmates and performing in local talent shows. In 2001, he and a childhood friend created a group named S.I.C. (Staying In Control). Over the next two years they expanded their click and bettered their skills by freestyling on homemade mixatpes. In 2003, they created the street anthem "If I Wanna" but due to the lack of direction, the song didn't take off like they had hoped it would. After the failed attempt, the group put rapping on the backburner to pursue other things. Over the next few years, Slim worked on perfecting his craft. Wanting to take it to the next level, in October of 2007 he started a record label named S.I.C. Entertainment, LLC and named himself CEO. He is currently working on his debut solo album entitled "At the Point of No Return."
