Spiritwind was born from a shared love for God, music and motorcycles.
The group was first brought together as members of the Christian Motorcyclist Association (CMA) in 2003. Dale and Chris Hall introduced Jim and Sonnie Stewart to Ron and Dee Kugler. Little did we know that a living room jam session of praise and worship would give birth to the ministry that Spiritwind has become. Dale Kugler joined the Spiritwind family in August of 2004. Dale is an annointed songwriter and multi-instrument musician . Mike and Patty Blackhall hooked up in April of 2005. Mike is a very talented drummer and percussionist and recorded our second CD " We Shall not Be Defeated" with us. In March of this year an email from a 3:am wakeup brought Eddie and Charlene Corns into the Spiritwind family. Eddie a very talented percussionist with a long musical history has become a very welcome addition.
The diverse musical backgrounds of the members combines gospel, country, folk, rock and blues. Drawing from these musical roots, the unique sound of Spiritwind is a mixture of styles and forms ranging from Classic hymns and contemporary Christian to our own inspirational original songs.
"Are You Ready " our first CD was released in June of 2004 and our new CD " We Shall Not Be Defeated " in April of 2006.
THE MUSICIANS
SONNIE STEWART - Piano and Keyboards, Songwriter and Vocalist. She has served as a Church Pianist and Worship Leader since the age of 12, when the Lord annointed her to play the piano and sing for His Glory.
JIM STEWART - Guitar, Bass, Mandolin, Harmonica, Songwriter and Vocalist. He has served as an Ordained Minister and Worship Leader for over 20 years
DALE KUGLER - Guitar, Bass, Mandolin and Keyboards, Songwriter and Vocalist. He has served as an Ordained Minister and Worship Leader for over 25 years
EDDIE CORNS_ Drummer/percussionist comes with a long history of musical backround and has played with top country and Christian artist
RON KUGLER - Guitar, Bass, Keyboards, Slide Guitar, Saxophone, Songwriter and Vocalist. He has served as a Worship Leader and Musician for over 20 years.
DALE (BIFF) HALL - Sound Technician and percussionist and has served as Local President of the Daytona Beach Chapter of CMA
