Biography
Acoustic trio from upstate New York. Playing originals and everything from Buffett to the Blues and beyond.
Featuring:
Dennis McGuire; lead/rythmn/bass/slide guitar, harmonica, percussion instruments; conga, bass drum etc.and vocals
Steve Davies; lead guitar and vocals.
Gary Powers; rythmn guitar and vocals.
Playing local venues such as Village, Town and City "concert in the park" shows and block parties throughout the summer months, as well as any worthy cause such as benefits and fund raisers, and of course, anywhere they sell beer.
Steve and Dennis have been playing as a duo and in bands together since 1974 celebrating their 30th anniversary with the same band at their annual Harvest[the name of the band]Holloween Ball, which most everyone in CNY could tell you they've been to a few, in 2004.
The local venue that held the ball, The Ozark Inn in Delphi Falls, NY, burnt to the ground a few years ago and it hasn't been the same since. But they still manage to get together for their special occasions now and then.
Gary is a solo type singer/songwriter who met up with Steve back in 2000 at a jam he was invited to. When they started to sing together something magical happened and they have been playing together ever since.
The first song was written by Dennis [after he experianced just that, a breakdown on the way to a gig.] recorded by Harvest.
The next two tracks here were written by Gary. Steve and Dennis add their magic. Grandpa and Me, about just that, his memories of his grandfather, and Reason for the Season, one of his Christmas songs.
A unique sound with a lot of fun added to it. "Let's here it for the Dancers". Thanks For Listening
