We'll keep it simple! It's late 2006. We are bored of listening to our mates rambling on about how there are "no real bands around". What they mean by "real" is rock'n'roll played at a high tempo with punk attitude, simple! A few of us within that circle of people decided to form a band. After a few months of jamming/writing, we had a set of songs and a consistent band line up, we named ourselves the HEAVY DRAPES. Our influences are all from the school of Rock’n’Roll, Chuck Berry, Sex Pistols, Turbonegro and a smattering of 1970s Glam Rock! Our plans for 2007 are to secure some tasty support slots and record our debut album which is almost written.
